Hell-O, I'm Valeria & there is nothing I love more than myself...& books. TV shows! Add food & traveling the whole world at that list.
My reviews? Pseudo reviews. But they are pretty.
So, 2013 came & went & I didn't quite read as much books because life. As lame excuses go, I swear! College was a bitch this year.
But I want that to change.
I will read more in 2014.
Even if 2014 will be worse.
Yeah...
Meanwhile, 2013 in books & reviews, shall we?
Uh, *blows air* you mean book-sss, right? As for best, well, Mistborn was SO GOOD. OMG, & such a surprise, too!
As "best book" is such a lose term, I must say that Scarlet was a lot whole of yeeesss my dearness; The Indigo Spell blew my mind to pieces in the most amazingly GOOD way & CLOCKWORK PRINCESS *fan scream* ..., ejem. You must know what I mean.
I was all over Ink
It sounded epic to mythological heights.
It was my first e-arc provided by e-galley *yey*
It was so very plain & plotless &, dude, not good enough.
It wasn't what I expected.
Mistborn I tell you!!
It is just so full of adventure & magic & mystery &... oooh.
Also, its sequel! The Well of Ascension just proved that I can put Brandon Sanderson on my Favorite Author list.
Erm, I'd say Inferno by Dan Brown. It was really good & I just love this kind of books, but also, I recommended it because of the very interesting perspective this book enhanced about overpopulation & resources on the world.
Brandon *freaking* Sanderson!! I'm actually about to star a new book of his, Steelheart *swoon over his books*
6. Most thrilling, unputdownable book in 2013?
Gameboard of the Gods. What, I love Richelle Mead's books, & even if a lot of people seemed to... not find this book entertaining, I fell all over it.
That world building, god, I can actually SEE it happening. Plus the GODS on earth, I wanted to die of excitement.
Her dagger. So dangerously badass.
Oh, gods. dearly, how may I answer this question.
So... Sybella from Dark Triumph is a badass. Period. & even so, there is much more to her, she went through a huge deal of stuff, awful stuff you couldn't even guess. Still, she's the big deal.
Adrian! I've mentioned a MILLION times how much I LOVE him & how he's the love of my life. Still, in The Fiery Heart me managed to rock my world once again, up to the sky!
Does this question include Memorably STUPID characters?
The world Richelle Mead created for Gameboard of the Gods is... og, real!
Even set in the future, with a international setting that is fractured & technology has advanced, it is still a very critic mirror of the present I I like that stuff.
*Tear* Oh Jem. Oh Will. *Another tear* Oh my broken heart: Clockwork Princess.
Why, glad you ask! The Selecction, of course. Awful book, beautiful rant.
Also, now that we're on the topic: The first review I wrote in 2013 was Destroy Me - The last review I wrote was The Fiery Heart *wink*
:3
So, on 2014 I plan to enhance my reading... whatever that means.
On the books I WANTED to read in 2013 but didn't happen, well, I'm all over Crown of Midnight. It's ridiculously stupid, I needed this book to show up & I didn't read it.
All the shame on me.
Also, I'm waiting like crazy for Silver Shadows! After THAT end on Fiery Heart, OMG, well...
Any other sequel, uh, let me think. Which other book of the million I want to read is... ah, Cress!
Have a great 2014, you guys.
